Give a man fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish he will eat forever.

Ever tried to help a needy person...
You give them some food.
You spare some change.
Or you even help them get a job so they will eat and find a place to sleep...

Yet, with all your efforts they are futile. The person reverts to their old ways and your actions bear no fruit.
It is not their failure or yours, it is the condition of the heart. They are complacent with their stations in life because they are sufficient with what love they have or don't.They get by through the simplest of means, what ever Allah sustains them with. This a lesson for all of humanity.

We have greater abundance than those in need, yet we get by with more? We can learn to share and get by through using less. Acts of generosity, kindness and most importantly love can change a person's station in life. Love can change our stations in life and those in need. The state of the needy change until their heart changes...

You can't change the stripes on zebra.

I seek a simple life...
I admire those people who have.

A Dream Delayed

I was doing what people told me to do.even when I was unhappy with their sugestions.I decided to go my own direction.I used to dream as achild to be a great writer. At first, i wanted to write horror novels like King or Barker. I loved the Hellraiser movie. I also wanted to write science fiction with a terrifying spin. In high school I changed.

I read Baldwin, Gunther, Twain, Sinclair and other authors.I want write something more tangible for common people to understand.I had a teacher in my senior year who believed in me, but somewhere after high school I lost my way.The naysayers suggested I'd something "practical". I decided to switch from creative writing to public relations and then business. My overactive imagination led me astray.

I had all these ideas bursting and I felt business was not quite the field I wanted to get into. I slowly found myself after being stranded on this Texas highway that was leading nowhere.I worked with an Algerian "renowned traveler" who told me you can make $$$ at anythingas long as you have the drive, perfect your craft and stay serious about it. Here I am wriing again...
